i know how it feels
when i see you smile (:

No matter how long we exist,
we have our memories.
Points in time which time itself cannot erase
Suffering may distort my backward glances
but even to suffering,
some memories will yield nothing of her beauty or their splendor.
Rather they remain as hard as gems.

Yesterday was speech day...
my last speech day parade in my four years' term in 'prison'...
it turned out better than I expected...
and the overall was okay...

Then went to PDP's family movie night and watched the movie titled 'The Fantastic Four: rise of the silver surfer'...
it was quite nice but the movie was too fast moving...
then after that movie...
Me, ken, alvin, hiu fung, bai xun, carlene, belvia, bernice and two other girls that I don't know got together again and we went for a walk...
Me and bai xun were talking about our own stuff...
that I would be stepping down in 2 hours and 14 minutes time...
and that she will be promoted in 2 hours and 14 minutes time...
then bai xun was our 'big boss' for that day...

And then...
I suddenly felt like narrating a short story...
it is titled 'THE ESCAPE'...
enjoy...

The six of them finally saw the chance to escape. The other attempts did not work. But they were certain this would work. Swiftly, the six of them quickly turned their backs and ran for their lives, not daring to even turn their heads around for one last look. They just wanted to escape from the other three.

Although they heard footsteps behind them, they did not even bother much. Instead, they just continued running. As they went to a three way road with a staircase at the center, they stopped. But without another second's hesitation, they decided to go down the staircase, to somewhere they did not know.

They staircase led to a carpark. It was just like a shortcut. They could see the entrance to another tower of the five fingered building, in the form of a staircase. They quickly ran through the carpark to the staircase and got up. There were only a few flights of stairs. That was when they knew they had no choice. The people pursuing them were not far away. They had no plan. THey just simply opened a door which was in front of them. Behind them, they could hear the footsteps getting louder. Their hearts skipped a beat.

When they got through the door, they saw that they were in another carpark, but with large cargo cars. Somehow, one of them managed to see a lift. A cargo lift. They quickly sprang to action. They went into the lift. They hit the button hard, hoping that the lift would arrive quickly. The lift door finally opened. They got into the lift with a pounding heart. As the door of the lift closed, they could see the door at the end of the carpark coming. They caught their breath and quickly looked at the lift buttons. There only two buttons. They were in basement two. They had no choice but to go to basement one.

When they got out of the lift, they could see many people staring at them, as if they were convicts trying to run away. They had no time to bother about the crowd. They had to escape. They quickly got to the first staircase and climbed up. That was when they found out that they ended at the same place, the place where they first stopped at the three way road. They surveyed the area to make sure the people pursuing them were not in sight.

When they saw that the coast was clear, they started to think of an escape plan, followed by excuses. They then followed their plan. To get away from the enemy is to have patience. They would take a longer route, a route that nobody took. They went a long way around and was about to escape when one of the person pursuing them called. They gasped.

They hesitated about answering the phone. After a few moments of thoughts and discussion, they decided to use excuses. They then answered the phone and told the excuses they had planned. That was when it ended. They were victorious. They had succesfully escaped...

Okay...
that is the end of my story...
hope you liked it... =)

I have often wondered why some people just simply love to use vulgarities...
They use it as if it is a forth compulsory language...
English.
Chinese..
Singlish...
and also 'Valgaritish'... (That is my own name for that language)
They just simply use it at the start and end of every sentence...

I thought that people who use that words just simply cannot control their mouth or they are just bad people...
then I thought about what uses vulgarities actually have...
and I thought that vulgarities are just used to curse or use as swearing words...
when you hate someone...
or when you just simply say them when things are not going smoothly for you...

But today I was finally enlightened...
after going to billy house to collect my new BB full uniform that were left behind for generations...
our company heirlooms... (nah... just kidding...)
while going back home, we started crapping...
I don't know how...
but I started talking about vulgarities...
then it soon escalated into some sort of crap...

Here goes...

Ever wonder what vulgarities is used for? The answer is simple...
It is used as some sort of morse code...
just like the TV programme...
when anyone speaks of vulgarities...
there will be a "toot" sound...
that often varies in different time span and beeps...
as you can see...
there are many uses of the morse codes that are made in the form of vulgarties...

Firstly...
they cannot be identified by your enemies easily...

Secondly...
You can insult your enemies when they successfully tap your radio frequency...

Thirdly...
It will lower your enemies' morale...

Forth...
It is very easy to learn and memorise as it is a common language...

Lastly...
It confuses the enemies as they won't know what is what... morse code? Or people scolding one another...

That is why...
It is really efficient to use that...
not that I encourage it...
but really...
everything does have its' uses =)

Wow... speech day rehearsal is finally over for today...
another one on friday...
Full-dress rehearsal...
boring...
I hope I do better by then...
Must practice...
This is my last year in speech day...
got to do it well...

So some funny things happened today...
cool man...
These things arh...
I don't think I can put them in the way it happened...
just my view...
for those who understands what I mean...
good for you...
but don't tell others...

Here goes...

It is just a wet and rainy morning...
when I was sitting on a bench, half asleep...
and suddenly my ear picked up something...
like some sort of loud talking...

Then I strained my ears to listen...
I heard something about don't embarass yourselves...
and because i could not see anything due to that large pillar blocking my view...
I kind of visualized the scene...

"Don't embarass yourself..." the person said, with the left hand pointing to the group of people the person is talking to...
and with the right hand's thumb pointing towards that person itself...

That is the scene that I visualized...
I kind of, too...
really fit in to what I heard...
Haha...
I do hope that pillar wasn't standing there...

I was just flipping through my family photos that were taken long long ago a few inutes ago...
then I thought about my own childhood not long ago...
like maybe 6 years?

Then I suddenly had a thought and I knew I had to blog...
to express this view...

I started to ask myself whether people just become more greedy as they grow older?
At first, when we were small little kids...
our greed is only for toys...
the younger we are...
the more basic the toy would be...
and that would be able to satisfy us...
and that is cheap...

As we grow up to an older age, but still a kid...
we tend to want toys that are expensive...
toys that are fashionable...
then it will satisfy us...
But that is not quite expensive yet...

Wait till one day we become teenagers...
when it is the 21st century...
Technology is very advanced now...
and that those modern devices like our computers, laptops and PDAs are cheaper...
and better...
Then how?
We start to ask for them...
so as to satisfy ourselves...
but imagine the price...
it is really expensive...

And that is not all...
we change them frequently...
if one laptop is a hundred times more expensive than a small kid's toy...
if I change both things ten times...
I will be wasting like a thousand times more money than a small kid's toy...

It is the same as handphones...
you see this one looks cool...
you buy it...
then after a while...
you think it is old fashion...
then you change again...

Then it is time to do some mathematics...
what is the amount of money have you wasted for 'fashion'?
That is a question for you to think about...

As for those older people...
I don't really understand them as I am not their age yet... haha =)

Do you have a secret?
Mind if you share it?

hahas...
that is a stupid question to ask people...
secrets are never meant to be told to others, am I right?

But why do some people still tell their secrets to others?
Some time is how they usually think...

But luckily...
I have known this and I don't get tricked easily...
But I do think I have found some stupid but effiecient ways to make people say out their secrets...
Not 100% guarantee...
and also no warranty...
hahas...
whether you want to try that out...
it is up to you...

First, let us look at why people tell their secrets out to others...
One, they think that they are going to explode and they need someone for them to pass secrets to... (and they think that they trust you)
Two, they feel as though it is fair that they shared theirs since you had shared yours...

So having these two tiny points...
I think we can use some stupid ways to make people tell out their secrets...

First, make sure they trust you a lot...
but how?
Simple... think for yourself...
be creative...

Second, spin tales...
which I mean by telling them lies...
about you too, have a secret... (try to do it somewhere quiet)
then they will confess...
if you hit the jackpot...
haha...

Don't think lying is bad...
Sorry that I have to say this...
But it is true...
many things around us are lies...

There is never a ' happily ever after ' as lied in stories...
There is no such lies such as your nose will grow longer if you tell lies...
There is no such lies that the good guys always win...

Anyway...
don't really do this...
this is rather addictive...
and don't trust it...
it is not reliable...
cos it only worked 3 out of 10 times...

And another thing to note...
I wrote this since I had nothing much to write about...
so don't take it to heart if you ever get tricked...
and I dedicate this to those who are tempted...
you know what I mean... =)

I just hate people keeping things from me...
they just sound the same as secrets...
If there is any reason, I will accept it...
but no...
he just refused to tell me the reason...
and worse...
I have to waste my own time in order to cover up for his 'crime'...

Ahhh...
just don't want to think about people are selfish...
no use bothering about people who don't appreciate what you do...

Anyway...
I found out that many people just don't appreciate me doing things for them...
for FREE!!!

Hey...
actually I can charge people fees for delivering things to them...
or doing them a favour...
but since it is a favour...
I'd just let it pass...
haiz...
stupid me...

Must we really only do the right things in front of others?
I wrote this post because of a certain person who said something that made such an impact on me...
You can try to guess who...
Most of you who reads this post will know who he or she is...

He or she said...
"When they can see you, put on your best... when they cannot see you, any wrong moves that you do, they won't know."

That really led me thinking...
If that statement is what people normally do...
then I will automatically agree with the drama teachers...
"The World is your stage"
Yah... if that statement is true...
then the world will be a stage...
where everyone is acting...

A rather large show, I presume...
But lacking of three main features...
who is the lead actor?
who is the lead actress?
who is the main villian?

Maybe this is just like everyone lives in a stage where we are actors and actresses acting on free will...
with no script...
no lead actor...
no lead actress...
or main villian...

We just use our tiny little minds to create what we call 'trying to be the lead'...
where people just stand up as leaders to try to fight against each other to become the lead actor or actress...
which in terms is called fight for power...

But lets' not bring it too far...
lets' bring it back to the topic...

If people just think that way...
that you must be good only in front of others...
does that automatically bring you into thinking that anyone can be saying bad things about you behind your back?

If people just think that way...
does it mean that they are really those...
'covers' of the book?
As people do say...
"Never judge a book by its' cover"...
that is what I put with people who don't have a mind of their own...

This type of people just act all the time...
who don't really know what they want or what they are...
They are just not themselves...

Not wanting to elaborate anymore in case I start insulting others...
I just have one last thing to say...

.: Just be yourself :.

What exactly are friends?
This is a question I always ask myself.

What is a true friend?
Another question.

What makes a true friend?
Another question.

The amount of questions never end...

In the dictionary, I found out the meanings of the word 'friend' and I picked a few that are really relevant.
1) a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.
2) a person who is on good terms with another; a person who is not hostile
3) A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts. 4) A person whom one knows; an acquaintance. 5) A person with whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; a comrade.

So if that is what the dictionary says... I better believe it...

There are five reasons there...
and I think I am going to use them as guidelines for my post.

If a friend is a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard, it somehow means that friends respect each other...
But what does respect really mean?
Does it mean making up funny names to irritate your friends?
Does it mean using your friend for one of your schemes?

If a friend is a person who is on good terms with another; a person who is not hostile, it somehow means that friends side with friends...
Does it mean that your frind gets punched and you punch the person who punch him?
Does it mean that if your friend does a wrong thing and you side with him when he gets caught?

If a friend is a person whom one knows, likes, and trusts, it somehow means that friends believe whatever their friends say...
Does it mean that friends won't tell lies?
Does it mean that friends will know what you are thinking about?

If a friend is a person whom one knows; an acquaintance, it somehow means that they both know each other...
Does it mean that friends will blurt out all their secrets to you?
Does it mean that friends won't keep you in the dark?

If a friend is a person with whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; a comrade, it somehow means that they will always help you...
Does it mean that your friend will not leave you to side by another person?
Does it mean that your friend will not run away when you are in need?

If friends are really that bad, that what are friends really for?
You can see lots of people in this world that would like to be your friend...
and none of them would be perfect for anyone...

If you can accept them for who they are, that is good...
But if you expect them to be perfect... tough luck...

So what are true friends?
To me...
true friends MUST NOT be perfect...

True friends are friends that will go against you...
tell you lies...
run away from you when there is trouble...
Just be friends with you because they can gain something from you... just like a parasite
Keep you in the dark...
Make fun of you...

Why? Are true friends really that bad?
Yes, they should be...
friends don't last forever...
A true friend is one who can stick to you for the longest time...

A friend who thinks that you are easy to bully, that they can gain something from you and can make fun of you forever...
will automatically stick on to you for the longest...

What people do not need is actually a true friend...
That is why people say that they have a best friend...
not a true friend.

A best friend means that the person is a friend...
but an extraordinary one...
the one that had never let you down before...

To you...
He or she is perfect...
although nobody is perfect...

That is when you know that you had found your best friend...

I agree...
Friends are the best thing in this world...
nothing can be as good as them...
even your families...

You will hope to see your friends everyday...
just like how you see your family members one-third of the day...

That is why friends are more important...
when you want more time to spend with a certain person...
then you will regard him or her the most important person.

It is just like when one of your grandparents is on the verge of death...
that will be when you start worrying so much...
will wish that you had more time to spend with him or her...
then cry...

It is all about time...
when you have a little time left...
you wished you had more...

If you have friends right now and you are sure you are going to see less of them soon...
try to spend more time with them...
lest on the day when you all part...
tears start rolling down your cheeks...
and you wished you had more time...

Treasure time...
Treasure your families...
Most important...
Treasure your friends... =)

Haiz...
Thinking of that CARE talk really makes me furious...
I still have 3 weeks more to complete the task with only one other group member with two more sleeping partners...
Although the school I am studying in has three types of student leaders...
1) The Student counsellors (whatever spelling it is)
2) The Peer leaders
3) The CCA leaders

Since my CARE talk is on leadership...
I need to start analysing the situation...
the CARE talk is to be done by a group of student leaders each week...
and my group is of course...
with four student leaders...
to be exact, four CCA leaders...
each from different CCAs...
NPCC, NCC, Badminton and Boys' Brigade

So if I have 2 sleeping partners in my group...
that means that 2 student leaders are actually not doing their job as a leader...
so does that mean that leadership is just lazing around and let others do the job?

Sometimes I do hear from people that leaders serve people...
to gain the respect of others...
but to me...
I think that leaders should also be called servants...
they simply do things for the people...
and for what?
To gain the respect of the people...
but what do they people do?
Leaders can abuse power...
but that does not mean that the people cannot abuse their ability...

If you try to get other people's trust and respect...
the people will simply just use that opportunity to make you go in circles...
just by making you do everything for them just to give you some respect...
but usually you will not get it...
saying it the crude way...
they just simply "play" and "throw away"...

So I always had this thought in my head even when leading my CCA members...
instead of doing everything for them...
I make them do things for themselves...

As I am in a uniform group...
I think it is better to say things in the uniform group sectors...

Firstly, what I see the seniors in the other uniform group do in teaching their CCA members is only punishing and punishing...
what is the main purpose...
the more you punish them...
the more they want to get back at you...
they might first start by showing you they respect you...
but you might not know what they would say behind your back..
that is what happened to me a few months back..
until I took a different approach...

Firstly...
I don't believe in punishments now...
unless the situation is really bad.

Secondly...
I try to "demote" myself till I am just the same as my juniors...
not as a leader...
but as a friend...

Instead of making them do punishments...
I ask them questions for them to identify their mistakes...
so that they will know what not to do...

I do not scold them or shout at them if they don't listen...
I just simply let them waster their own time before they quieten down.

People encourage at the start...
I encourage in the end...

People ask their juniors to do the right thing...
I challenge my juniors to prove to me whether they know what is right...

When people see that one junior is getting very proud...
they become biased and try to bring him/her to power...
When I see my junior getting too proud...
I try to make him feel lousy...
the only intention is for him to be able to work as a team...

People use their authority against their juniors...
while I let my juniors have the authority they want... only if they can prove to me they deserve it...

People start by gaining the respect of their juniors..
I start by making them respect me...
Once they start respecting me...
there is no way they can abuse their ability of me trying to respect them.

People only treat those that are good to them well...
But I choose to treat my juniors who are hated by others well...
If he ever feels left out...
he will be left out...

But nevertheless...
I am still searching for more wierd ways to make my juniors learn better...

So I just feel that sometimes we take leadership the wrong way...

Is it all about the respect?
Is it all about getting back at the leaders that once abused power on you?
Is it all about having everyone to do as they are told?
Is it all about throwing responsibilities to others?

And so I remember what my cousin wrote in her MSN nick last time...
"A good captian goes down with his ship"
that is the only thing I agree in a good leader...
And I remember 1 teacher once said this to the student leaders...
"We have the quantity but we don't have the quality"
I forgot her name...
but I know she teaches math...
I really agree with this statement...
if we do not have the quality leader...
what is the use of having the leaders which are the black sheeps...
who tarnish the nice title of leaders?

But something thing I always love to say...
A leader is just a title...
just to make others happy...
like a road sweeper who was once called road sweeper...
but now called uncle or aunty...
why?
one thing is repect...
but another is that the way they are being called...
the title...
makes them feel good and thus...
work better...

I wonder if you agree with what I say...
As I say...
not everything I say is right...
they are all infrences...
nothing more than that... =)

(R^3)CMI wrote some crap again... <3 11:50 AM

Finally...
I have finished watching the show I've been wanting to finish for sooooo long!!!

Now I can finally start to continue on my story that i stopped a few months ago...
and now that I have more time...
I can finally resume blogging for the rest of the month...

But of course...
I still need some time to study...
hahass...

After watching this show...
I finally improved on my chinese standard...
just because it is a chinese show...

So that led me thinking about why my chinese standard improved in just a short period of time...
and so I finally found out why...
Normally...
Almost everything around me is in english...
even in school...
I dun think I can see any other prominent chinese stuff besides the two long plastic with some chinese words outside the general office...

So I found out that everthing in the environment affects us...
that if we get to see english stuffs everyday...
we get accustomed to english and neglet chinese...
although I know that english is important...
as what teachers and economists always say...
english is a universal language and can be used outside if you want to go to those very advanced countries...

So I realised that in order for everyone to be the kind of "perfect" person...
the environment is also very important...

like for instance:
a good student only turns bad in a group of bad students...
and a bad student will only turn good in a group of good students...
so what does that show?
It simply shows if there is an example to show...
everyone will follow it...

Wonder why teenagers commit crimes?
One common reason is that they get into bad influence...
but where did that influence come from?
It cannot come out of nowhere right?
So they learn by example...

It is the same...
students in school do things that the school does not allow...
why?
Same reason...
That I leave you to think about it....

hahahahaahhahahahahahhassss!!! =)
