i know how it feels
when i see you smile (:

No matter how long we exist,
we have our memories.
Points in time which time itself cannot erase
Suffering may distort my backward glances
but even to suffering,
some memories will yield nothing of her beauty or their splendor.
Rather they remain as hard as gems.

Okies, now for a very recent flashback, OBS...

Thinking back on the day when I was chosen to be the seeker for lovegood, I was already destined to go for OBS (sounds so grand right?)

I had very high expectations of it, especially cos I was not allowed to go for it during my sceondary school years. Instead, it turned out to be a little boring.

It really made me realise that council camp and LTC was super fun.

Council camp had the sense of urgency and everything was done nicely and smoothly, whereas for OBS, everyone dilly-dallied, especially for the bathing time. Zhi Yuan and I were like getting a bit pissed off, abit only (sorry Louis, have to your your tagline)

LTC had many more activities, unlike OBS, which only had very little activities.

The worse thing was that I did not feel as if I've got the mood or drive to want to improve as a person in OBS. Perhaps I was having too much judgement on the camp?

I had a super good instructor and a super good group (well, not really everyone started talking to me, or I've started talking to them) and our group really has good leaders. As for my instuctor, Birin (not his full name), he is a very good example himself.

He smiles and stays calm almost all the time. He has the very serious look only when there is danger. He really treats the camp the right way by not appointing I/Cs, since all of us are leaders ourselves. He really gives people ownership of what they do, and help them by letting them push till the end and then when nothing goes well, he drops hints. I really admire him as an instuctor, one of the best if I could say.

From there, I really did more thinking and I'm really dying to speak with a few people about some important stuff.

Despite all these stuff, I really enjoyed everything! OBS rocks, Raffles rocks! Birin rocks!

Finally, during OBS, there were many times I felt like giving up, but I remembered what I told RJ to do. "When you feel like giving up, find your strength in 31st." I did that too.

This is a flashback to the day of sending Amanda's flight, but this time later in the afternoon...
A group of us went to destroy Toys 'R' us. (The truth is that we really created lots of problems inside)
We went there to buy the waterguns for the games and it took really really long to choose, cos many of the designs were gone.

After which, we went to pay and got scammed. The price tag and label was different. Luckily we got to change it back.

On that day, I made another friend. Woohoo! I've more friends now! =)

Presenting to you...
"The babies hunting for the water guns!"

Louis!

Ah Fui!

Ying Chen Pynx! (Actually should be Ying Chen's individual photo. Ah well~)

And finally, your's truly. =)

This is a flash-back to the day when louis, RJ, Zhi Yuan, Ming Wei, ELYSIA and I sent Amanda off...

We really went too late on that day, the surprise did not go too well...

In the end, we only got to see Amanda through the glass panel. (THE PICTURE IS WITH ELYSIA)

She was like so happy and so shocked, I really felt happy, cos it is like the first time I'm sending friends away for a flight.

Then after that, we had one whole night of no sleeping. (except for ming wei, who slept throughout everything)

We went to peopye's (i dunno the spelling) and ate, and saw ming wei sleep...

then we went to ya kun kaya and saw ming wei sleep again, but this time with some heart to heart talk (they actually got to know about some of my secrets).

Then Elysia and I went to walk walk around the whole airport, then we went to walk up the down flowing travellator. It was super fun.

Then we had a lot of heart to heart talks, probably part two.

After that, we went back to school, and I managed to survive through all three long and draggy and long and draggy and long and draggy lectures...

That night was fun, was nice. It was a day that I cannot forget! And It has also made me realise something that I've missed out. And I'm so gonna bridge that gap... =)

This is a flashback to the day when Randy, April, Julia, Qing Wei and I went to search for the Butterfactory for the J2s' post-prom

The search took super long, especially when we cannot find the road for a super long amount of time. But we still did it in the end, with the help of qing wei.

The place was super nice. It had a big mouth outside, just like my mouth...

Hahaz, then inside was super kiddish, now I'm so gonna go to that club next time... (one more year to 18)

This is a photo of us leaving the butter factory. =)

Then at night we went to Randy's house and had lots of ben and Jerry ice-cream, which made me like have sore throat on the first day of OBS, but it was all worth it, for all that Ben and Jerry ice-cream. Hahaz. Thanks Randy! =)

This is a flashback to Council retreat...

Council retreat was a very useful time spent, I must say, but I still have some unfinished business to do.

Lots of reflection, lots of planning, but to me, it still felt as if it wasn't enough, we did not prepare enough to go there. In the end, only some people really benefitted.

But that gave me an urge to do something, an inspiration, but I shall only tell that to three people as for now.

Maybe I shall touch on the details itself.

For the individual comm meetings, for welco bah, I felt that we did not really accomplish much, and there isn't much time to complete everything. (I really have to work with April and Pynx)

For the ad hoc meetings, I felt that though we really set deadlines, many other important things have not been done yet. (Chun fui should know what I am talking about)

As for the rest of the activities like the games, it did not really feel like anything much to be learnt from them, frankly, cos all these activities have been done when you are soooooo awake and in the enjoying mood... always set the mood right...

But for the last thing about the pass the paper game, I really learnt that a smile itself is not enough itself to solve all problems, to make people happy. I really have to watch my words too. Some people feel that I am a little strightfoward. I shall work on that.

As for now, I really have some important things to do... after council retreat has set me going...

This is a flashback to the eighth of november...

Today, welco and Ex-co went to visit Mr Tan.

Nothing much there, cos the house is super empty (except for one room filled with their stuff)

Mr Tan and Mrs Tan looks like a super sweet couple...

Randy's cooking was nice, and all of us helped him too! Hahaz

Finally, Jamie really has no childhood! (Remember the exercising games?)

Hahaz! That should be all~

It is always quite ironic when we are asked to be creative but there is never room given for creativity. Let me show you examples why, so as to substantiate my views.

In this modern society…

1. Doodling (or some call it art) is called vandalism. Unless it is done on paper, and the controversy is that we are asked to save the trees.
2. Drawing pictures in class during lessons will result in scolding from teachers.
3. Reading textbooks that practically give you everything.
4. Newer ideas are called ‘lame’ ideas.
5. You don’t even have time to daydream (in school will kana scolding)

These are the few reasons that I can curently think of. If you have anymore ideas why, please feel free to key into my tagbox.

Hahaz! =)

Woohoo! My new blogskin is finally out! I'm so gonna start blogging from now on!

For those who'd missed me, I shall update you guys on what has happened to me all these time.

Basically, I'd been extremely busy about studies, and after that, A level chinese and Project Work came about.

So now that everything has ended, I'm back and ready for action!

Also, look forward to my new section of my blog, the "I'm a student councillor part!", where I shall talk about some of the things I face as a student councillor. Bwahahaha!
(Sadly, it is under construction now)

Have fun reading ~
